Over the last few years the work of LA lo-fi musician Ariel Pink and his Haunted Graffitti has come to define whole movements in outsider, underground pop. Recent chillwave/glo-fi acts like Nite Jewel, Washed Out, Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi even Animal Collective have looked toward Pink's day-dream records, House Arrest, Doldrums, Worn Copy for inspiration. Now, finally Pink's voice has gathered widespread recognition with this new LP for heavyweight imprint 4AD. And quite honestly it's a delight; live band echo jams spiral in a warm glaze of immaculate pop songs coated in long lost 80's static to tickle the ears.
